Two series that should have nothing to do with each other
Surprise me
GLOVIZ picked Wind speed Madrid from Open-Meteo and S&P 500 index from FRED, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, paired them on time, and found a correlation of 0.238 over 28 matched observations. Two different institutions, two different measurement programmes, no shared mechanism. That is the point: with a thousand series, coincidences are cheap.
