Two series that should have nothing to do with each other
Surprise me
GLOVIZ picked Temperature Rome from Open-Meteo and Seismic energy released per day from USGS Earthquake Hazards Program, paired them on time, and found a correlation of 0.25 over 39 matched observations. Two different institutions, two different measurement programmes, no shared mechanism. That is the point: with a thousand series, coincidences are cheap.
